This is by far one of the best cohesive write ups I’ve come across in the past…2 days since selection. I totally agree with your Duke statement…should have definitely been a No. 2 and if they are THAT good, they have an easy road to the Final Four.

I’m hoping for a Maryland/Georgetown regional, but that would mean Kansas would have to lose to Maryland in the 2nd round…and I don’t see that happening. Then again…anything is possible.

But that would totally mess up one of my brackets…I originally had Kansas taking it all! I also have Villanova in the Final Four against Kentucky..and Syracuse against Kanasas. Wow, you think WVU can take out Kentucky? That would be a great game, if it happens!

I love it. I am impressed with Georgetown, Georgia tech, Marquette and West Virginia lately. I have West Virginia and Nova in one or 2 of my pools out of about 5. I do not like Syracuse at all. They have lost 2 in a row. No team to exit the Conference championship that early has ever won it all, i believe. Heres another thought. Syracuse does not deserve number. My thing is- if you wanna be ranked as a no. 1 in the tourney, u NEED to win your Conference championship. It is as simple as that in my mind. Records and everything gets tossed out the window for me and I usually make my picks based on their latest performances, aka The Conf. tournaments. Which is why Illinois and Miss ST. got screwed. Well i dont care about ILL so much but Miss State should have been in.

I have Kentucky winning in about 3 of my polls, Kansas in one and Duke in one. I do have West virginia vs. Kansas for one of my title games. In another, I have georgetown in the final 4. Lets be honest. A blind kid couldhave a better shot at picking winners than us. Thats why they call it “Madness.” But i do agree with most of your picks and upsets, however i think Notre Dame will get past the 1st round, as well as Butler too. I just cant get past the idea of Syracuse being done for now..I either have Pitt or Vandy in my final 4 down there , cuse in only one pool made it to my final 4… What an awful showing. But great job. I may make a few changes after viewing yours..Once again i love your columns
