This was so bad I had to DVR the replay of the game and watch it again. Ya know, like a bad car crash that you can’t peel your eyes off of. The way the Bulls urinated down their legs last night in the 4th quarter of their game vs the Milwaukee Bucks was atrocious– even for them. I realize that they aren’t a good team, so this isn’t frustration of losses piling up. Where my frustration stems from is just how poorly they are coached, and how poorly they execute whatever it is that Vinny Del No Mind wants them to. The front office nonsense is for another day. We all know how little the 3 headed monster known as GarPaxDorf knows how to run a professional sports franchise. What transpired in the fatal 4th quarter last night was something out of a movie. It wasn’t like the Bulls melted down against the Lakers or Celtics, this was the damn Milwaukee Bucks! The Bucks are terrible. Brandon Jennings is back to reality after a hot start( I do love his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air high top fade though), and they are only slightly competitive in the JV league (Eastern Conference) because of Scott Skiles. Remember him? The Bulls didn’t want him coaching these bums. Great move Pax.

The Bulls made Andrew "Jabaar" I mean Bogut look like an All-Star. Bogut torched the Bulls for 27 points and 13 rebounds.

Warning!!! What I’m about to write may give you an instant headache or nausea so proceed with caution……

We start at the beginning of the 4th quarter with the Bulls and Bucks tied at 64 after Luke Ridnour hit a half court shot at the buzzer to end the 3rd stanza.

Start of the 4th quarter….

12:00 minutes left: Inside the Bulls huddle, Vinny tells his guys to “keep running” and “keep attacking”. You have to love how in-depth Del Negro gets with his players. Great work coach. Way to coach em up. Ugh.

Side Note- I totally just made up what Vinny told players, but I would bet money you thought that’s what he said when you read that.

11:33 left: A John Salmons sighting. He actually makes a 3-pointer to give the Bulls a 3 point lead 67-64. Not an important moment, but it’s noteworthy because Salmons has been Brad Sellers-like when it comes to his long range shooting. Salmons has been missing in action this year. I was about to call Ted Phillips’ search committee to help find him. Welcome back John.

10:52 left: A Hinrich 3 gives the Bulls a 70-66 lead. A shocking development because Hinrich has been the only white guard in the NBA this season who can’t consistently knock down open jumpers.

10:12 left: Hinrich shoves Hakeem Warrick after Warrick shoved him following the whistle. This is immediately met by Tyrus Thomas acting tough and getting in the face of Bucks softy Andrew Bogut. Bulls rookie James Johnson makes his first impact of the night by getting a technical foul for……I’m still not sure what Johnson did in the scuffle other than continuing to be the Bulls dumbest player. He has the basketball IQ of a ball rack.

10:07 left: Andrew Bogut once again falls for Brad Miller’s “head fake and drive” (How are NBA players falling for this move still? That’s all Miller has…..shaking my head). Miller gets fouled as referee Danny Crawford bails out Miller on a terrible call. Refs love tightening up games after altercations. I put this part in to show another example of how bad NBA officiating is. Bogut got all ball on the block. Bulls analyst Stacey King says “You don’t want officiating to start taking over the game”. Yea ok Stacey, like that wasn’t going to happen.72-66 Bulls.

9:36 left: Derrick Rose drives and hits a beautiful floater over Andrew Bogut. Rose has abused Brandon Jennings all night. People need to stop saying Jennings is better than Rose. No seriously, stop saying it. I like Jennings, but he is not D Rose. I am loving how Rose is growing into the role of 4th quarter closer for the Bulls. I am going to regret writing that last sentence later. 74-68 Bulls.

8:46 left: Tyrus Thomas steals the ball on a bad pass from Jennings. Thomas then breaks into his Magic Johnson mode trying to go the length of the floor instead of passing to a streaking Rose who would have finished with a dunk. Thomas is the Bulls 2nd dumbest player who just doesn’t “get it”. Thomas gets fouled at mid-court but feels the need to keep dribbling and dunks the ball after the whistle. Sweet Tyrus, like I really wanted to see the ONE thing you can actually do when it doesn’t count.  Again, thanks Tyrus. 74-69 Bulls.

6:50 left: Foul on the Bucks Charlie Bell against John Salmons. At this moment the Bucks are now in the penalty meaning the Bulls will shoot free throws the rest of the way. You would think the Bulls would start attacking the basket trying to get to the line. You would think…….Salmons makes one of two. Bulls 77-71.

6:18 left: Bogut again falls for Miller’s “head fake and drive” resulting in a pass to Thomas at the rim that Tyrus of course doesn’t finish(He did dunk again after the whistle in case your curious).  Thomas is fouled on the play. Thomas makes two. Bulls lead 79-73.

Taj Gibson has been a pleasant surprise for the Bulls this season. The bad news??? He's outplaying a guy who was the 4th pick of the '06 NBA Draft.

5:57 left: A one-legged Michael Redd schools the Bulls $71 million dollar man Luol Deng for an and one. Deng seems confused as to why the foul call was made. He apparently forgot he is slower than Rodney McCray and has the athleticism of Billy Hoyle. Redd makes the free throw. 79-76 Bulls.

4:40 left: Bulls are in full panic 4th quarter mode as Rose nearly travels before passing to Hinrich who trips trying to make a move.  Rose misses a jumper, and Deng goes up for a layup like a WNBA player only to have Hakeem Warrick block his shot out of bounds. This possession should be used for a “How not to execute a half court offense” video. Bulls somehow still up 79-78.

4:27 left: Redd drives and loses the ball going up, but the refs blow another one. Redd goes to the line for two, and Joakim Noah gets a technical foul. Redd makes 2 of 3 freebies. 80-79 Bucks. Vinny calls a full timeout where he tells the players to “forget about the refs” and “run our offense”. What exactly is your offense Vinny?

Side Note- Again, I have no idea what Vinny actually said in this timeout, but it couldn’t be anything relative because the Bulls came out of this timeout by getting Deng to dribble the shot clock down before passing to a wide open Hinrich who bricked another 3 pointer. Oy Vey.

3:46 left: Another bucket for Andrew Bogut plus the foul on Brad Miller. Why is Miller still in the game at this point? It’s not for his defense that’s for damn sure. Miller plays the game like he has cement shoes on. Bogut makes the free throw. 85-80 Bucks.

3:35 left: A playground foul by Jennings on Rose. The smoke coming from Scott Skiles’ ears is filling up the arena. Rose misses both (ouch). 85-80 Bucks.

3:02 left: Bogut scores an easy layup as Tyrus Thomas stands and watches Bogut lay the ball in. No block attempt– or even the thought of taking a charge by Thomas. They can’t trade this bum soon enough. 88-80 Bucks. Vinny shows he actually is paying attention and removes Thomas from the game at the next whistle.

1:59 left: Charlie Bell makes a 3 pointer as John Paxson frantically calls Doug Collins to come back and coach this mess. 91-84 Bucks.

1:51 left: Bogut AGAIN falls for Miller’s “head fake and drive” as Miller passes to Deng who knocks down a jumper. Skiles is ready to go after Bogut Latrell Sprewell style. 91-86 Bucks.

1:24 left: Layup by Rose is followed by a Bucks timeout. The Bulls players at this point are dreading going back to the huddle because Vinny is going to tell them about his relatives in Italy and how much he likes to argue. 91-88 Bucks.

Side Note- This may have actually happened during the Bucks timeout. Would you bet against it? I didn’t think so.

1:07 left: Redd torches Hinrich and hits a jumper in his face. Remember when Hinrich was considered an all-league defender? Just because he’s scrappy, hustles, and is white doesn’t mean he is a good defensive player. 93-88 Bucks.

1:01 left: Miller hits a wide open 3 as Bogut is late to recover. Bogut must have watched Bill Wennington play defense because he is letting the aging Miller torch him at every opportunity. Miller’s post shot antics just made everyone watching this game cringe. It’s like watching every white guy not named Justin Timberlake dance. 93-91 Bucks.

33.4 left: Rose is called for a charge as referee John Goble makes another terrible call against the Bulls. Maybe exiled referee Tim Donaghy was onto something. 93-91 Bucks.

10.3 left: Bell misses a short jumper, but Deng doesn’t box Warrick out leading to a dunk by Warrick. Back in Deerfield, John Paxson says to himself “I gave Deng how much money?!” 95-91 Bucks.

8.5 left: The Bulls execute their first successful in-bounds play of the season as Rose curls off of a double screen for a layup. Del Negro immediately text messages his agent demanding a raise. 95-93 Bucks.

8.0 left: Redd misses the 1st free throw because he is thinking about making another awful car insurance commercial. Redd makes the 2nd. 96-93 Bucks. Timeout Bulls. Wait, the Bulls have a timeout at the end of a game?

Vinny sends his agent another text…..

8.0 left: Bulls lineup and Rose is not in-bounding the ball. This could be promising…..

8.0 left: They run the same play they ran for Ben Gordon at the end of game 4 vs Boston in last year’s playoffs. Only one problem, Gordon is in Detroit not enjoying the city.

4.1 left: Salmons slips and passes to Deng who clangs a 3 pointer. Bogut rebounds……game over.

Yes, that really happened. Chalk up another close game the Bulls lose because they cannot finish off a team.

In the locker room after the game ,Vinny gave his thoughts…..”We did enough to win this game, and we found a way to lose it. Not all bad, but just frustrating we couldn’t find a way to pull it out.” That’s a beaten man talking. “It’s not all bad” is right Vinny. Hopefully,  the losses continue to pile up which would improve draft lottery position and the insurance that Vinny gets canned in April.

July 1st can’t get here soon enough.
