With Christmas a few days away, I decided to get a few things off my chest. There is so much going on in the sports/entertainment world I cannot keep up. My head is spinning like it does after a Vinny Del Negro in-bounds play. This isn’t the 12 days of Christmas, but it is Louie’s 12 things I saw coming like a defense sees a Jay Cutler pass coming right at them. More on Jeff George 2.0 later. Now, on to my Christmas hit list……
1. Brittany Murphy was found unconscious in a shower over the weekend. She was later pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedar-Sinai hospital. She was 32. Shocker. Who didn’t see that one coming? I’m guessing a coke problem coupled with an eating disorder. What is it with Hollywood types and drug problems-eating disorders? It’s like clockwork with actresses. Murphy was good in “8 Mile” and “Clueless”, but I’ll liken her life to Sharon Stone’s character “Ginger” in Casino. Think about it, good looking(sort of), rich, a drug problem, and a high profile image in a f*cked up world. I don’t feel bad for her, but R.I.P. Ms. Murphy.
2. Next on the list is the mumbling stumbling General Manager of the Bears, Jerry Angelo. The “General” came out of the rubber room before the Bears-Ravens ass kicking to announce that no decision had been made on the future of coach Lovie Smith. I laughed at this news because in case you didn’t know, Angelo can’t fire Lovie without first checking with the old bag first. Who in the hell is Jerry Angelo to hang his hand- picked coach out to dry like that???? If anything, that douche should be the one fired before anybody else. I’ve previously written how the Bears need to clean house and start fresh. Here is a quick list of Jerry’s notable moves………
- Drafted Michael Haynes and Rex Grossman in the 1st round in ’03.
- Was in charge of the ’05 draft. There are no players left on the team from that draft.
- Traded Thomas Jones and a 2nd round pick to the Jets for their 2nd rounder. You can’t do that trade in the Madden video game.
- Drafted Chris Williams at 14 with a bad back. The guy is softer than Luol Deng.
- Oh yea ,almost forgot, he traded 2 1st round picks, a 3rd, and Kyle Orton for a guy with 25 interceptions.
This is a guy who’s questioning his coach? Please. If someone can revive Virginia McCaskey, please tell her to fire her General Manager.
3. Speaking of Mr. Interception, can someone explain why media people still make excuses for this guy’s piss poor play? When “Hope” arrived on April 2 we were told that Cuttles did the following…….
- Makes the players around him better…..wrong. If anything the offense has gotten worse.
- With his mobility, Jay will make plays with his feet…..wrong. Mr. Shoulder twitch makes David Carr look calm, cool, and collected.
- He is a franchise quarterback…..wrong again. Just because the guy goes to ONE Pro Bowl, that doesn’t make him a franchise baller.
- It’s the coaches fault…..wrong. Yea, it’s Ron Turner’s fault the baby throws the ball to the other team. Cuttles has 25 picks this year. Throw in the a few of the drops by defensive backs and that total should be in the 30′s. When will people realize that this guy isn’t that good? Blame Ron Turner and Pep Hamilton if you want, but there is no excusing Jay’s putrid footwork and his obsession for throwing into double and triple coverage. That doesn’t matter to a majority of Bears fans however. They are still making excuses for a guy who has been the biggest disappointment of any Chicago athlete in my lifetime. Jay Cutler gets traded to the Bears and somehow he got Cubbed. How Chicago is that? Excuse me while I pop in the Bears-Rams ’85 NFC Championship game.

There is a great chance this pass by "Cuttles" was intercepted.
4. As I’m writing this, the we don’t give a sh*t Chicago Bulls have just finished tying an NBA record by blowing a 35 point lead to the young and bad Sacramento Kings. I could write a whole article on how the Bulls have blown this game, but making my list at number 4 is the coach who continues to amaze…..Vinny Del Negro. The only thing worse than Vinny’s coaching is announcer Neil Funk ripping into a team that is beating the Bulls by 17. Remember that song “Only The Bulls?” Well, only the Bulls could blow a 35 point lead on their home court to the Sacramento Kings! Vinny had this classic line after the game…..”I’ve never seen it before, but it happens.” How is this guy still employed? This year alone the Bulls have lost by 30 at home to the Raptors while Jarrett Jack tied his shoes mid-play, had MeBron dance on the court against them, lost to the 1 win Nets, and now this Kings debacle. Only the Bulls….would allow their only asset (Derrick Rose) to be coached by this moron. How do you let the best player you have be exposed to Vinny? Everyday that Rose plays under Vinny is another day in the regression of Rose’s game. Only the Bulls….ugh.
5. Hey Bulls fans, get excited….Tyrus Thomas is coming back soon! Never mind, let’s get to number 6……..quickly. Before we do, remember who the Bulls’ biggest problem is….Jerry Reinsdork. The old hack owner doesn’t give a rats ass about his fans and the last 11 years are proof of it. The “Chairman” loves to take credit for the Bulls 6 NBA titles. Sorry Jerry, but one person is responsible for those. We all know who that is. Now back to the list…..
6. Elin Woods apparently wants a divorce from Tiger, the whore chaser. She also wants a 100% custody of the soon-to-be ex couples’ two kids. That she will get. Now about that whole getting half of Tiger’s money…..I don’t think so sweetie. Elin may have watched Eddie Murphy’s RAW when Ed goes off about women wanting HALF! Good for Elin, get what you can Ms. Nanny. However, in the end Tiger will sink a 30 foot birdie on 18 and somehow keep more than half his money.
7. Quick shout out to the best sports team in Chicago….The Blackhawks. What a treat they are to watch. They are one of the best teams in the NHL and odds on favorite to get to the Stanley Cup Finals in June. I just don’t need to see Brent Sopel anymore. He should be playing with that washed up hack Chris Chelios and the Wolves.
8. Number 8 on my list and number 1 on the douche bag list is MeBron James. MeBron is great player, but the way he carries himself and dances during games is a joke. Michael Jordan never did that, neither does D Wade or Kobe. All of these antics come from a guy who hasn’t won anything at the NBA level. What will he do if he ever wins a title? MeBron needs to worry about not getting punked out of the playoffs this year for the 3rd year in a row. MEMO to the Queen…..Worry about your legacy and not being a global icon.
9. You didn’t think I could get through a Christmas rant list without mentioning the Jersey Shore did you? The best reality show in the last 5 years has lived up to the billing. I love Snooki (Nicole) and her big mouth. Seeing her get knocked out was messed up and wrong, but having Mike “The Situation” trying to hook up with anything with a pulse is great TV. This guy couldn’t get any in a Vegas strip club, but watching him try is a must watch. I have high hopes for the remainder of the season.
10. Another reality TV show I watch is the Kardashians. It’s sad and lame, but what a bunch of clowns. The only cool members of the family are Khloe, Rob, Bruce, and new family member Lamar Odom. Kim ,as hot as she is, couldn’t be more of a diva. The biggest turd on the show so far has been Scott, Courtney’s baby daddy. His sweaters and loafers are reason enough to watch. This guy screams geek. He is the absolute worst!
11. Quick shout out to the WWE who once again will be performing for the troops in Iraq. This is the 7th year in a row the WWE has performed for our great men and women serving our country. People love to hate on the WWE, but this is a great show they put on for our troops and they deserve recognition.

The best player on the planet is on his way to his 5th NBA Championship and has become the 3rd best guard of all-time.
12. Last, but certainly not least, on my list is a quick reminder who the best basketball player in the world is. Kobe Bryant is having another outstanding year and shutting up all of his haters in the process. With winning the NBA title as the main guy last June, Kobe has proven that he is what people have long doubted….a winner. Somehow he has defied the odds for players who have played over a 1,000 NBA games and another 175 playoff games. Most guys knees would be shot, but Kobe keeps getting better. Who is doubting Kobe won’t get to MJ’s 6 titles with his current Lakers squad? Kobe was blamed for the Shaq breakup, but now that Shaq has left his 4th team on bad terms(Orlando, L.A., Miami, and Phoenix) who thinks maybe it was Shaq who was the diva? I know I do. In the debate between Kobe and MeBron, know that there is no debate. Kobe has been and is the best player in basketball.
Side note: The college bowl season has tipped off and I couldn’t care less. Of the 78 bowl games this year I might watch 4. As messed up as college football is with the BCMess, nothing is worse than going through the guide and seeing the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. Are they kidding?! This year I am going back old school and only watching New Year’s Day and BCMess bowl games. Merry Christmas everybody!

Gay Buttler!! What most Bear fans dont realize is we could be 9-5 right now if “Franchise” actually played like one. 3 games we had the ball last with a chance to finish out with a “W” and each time he delivered a Buttler Boneheaded gift-wrapped INT. How about not staring down Olsen,Gaylord? I think teams know after watching our “O” in film Gay loves and will only keep looking his way in the redzone. 1 game we had the ball with a “lead” and he gave it back to them leading to the Pack’s game winning score. His shoulder twitch thing freaks me out. He didnt have it early in the season? Now, its like his shoulder has a mind of its own. 2 1sts,a third, and a NFL starter for a half-wit, prima-donna, taxi driver with turrets.Special props to the best name of all-time….El Salvador Gustavo Escobar. He is a nightguard in a prison and lives with two strippers. His is simply known to his friends as “THE GUS.”

China,
Love the Christmas rant. Great work! I read the entire article in your tone of voice and I am crying laughing. I agree with all of it. It’s now the 29th of December and Vinny Del NoCoach still has a job, WTF? Kobe is a baller, and the Hawks are the only thing worth watching on TV now. We should all start a cycle of Roids and move to the Shore this summer. These people haven’t seen nothing yet.
Thanks for the feedback T-Jack. I’m loving the Hawks right now. My bro is going to the Devils game on NYE. That should be a good test.
